A new mobile-friendly service will allow individuals and companies to conveniently transfer a driving offence to the person responsible using their smartphone or internet device.
Chief Commissioner of State Revenue Stephen Brady said the easy-to-use eNominations service takes just a few minutes.
“The online service makes nominating another driver much more efficient for vehicle owners as they will no longer be required to provide a paper statutory declaration and have it witnessed,” said Mr Brady.
“With around 400,000 driver nominations expected to be made this year, this will save our customers valuable time.”
The Office of State Revenue through its fines division, State Debt Recovery, was responsible for the nomination process and resolving fines, with the broader organisation also collecting state taxes along with providing small business benefits, first home buyer’s grants and returning unclaimed money.
From today, all responsibilities and functions performed by the staff of the organisation continue under the renamed entity, Revenue NSW.
“Revenue NSW is focused on making it easier for the people of NSW to do business with the NSW Government,” Mr Brady said.
“Through our revenue management services, we deliver Government priorities to ensure a fair, safe and prosperous New South Wales.”
“Existing payment and collection services have not changed and there is nothing our customers need to do to.”
